65100 Basic Figures Asst.
November - 1997

Three cadets from this assortment complete the "Starfleet Academy" series of figures.  Capt. Picard, Riker, Worf and Geordi were released with computer CD-ROMs in 1995.  These figures are probably based on the book series, probably to widen the appeal of Star Trek toys to kids.  That didn't work, and collectors would have preferred more "Mirror, Mirror" or "City on the Edge of the Forever" figures.

Responding to customer complaints, Playmates changed the packaging so that collector numbers are visible.

Their were 2 different Case Pack Ratios on these figures, they were:

Mix 4: 1 Crusher, 2 Datas, 3 Keelers, 4 Spocks, and 2 Trois

Mix 5: 2 Crushers, 2 Datas, 3 Keelers, 4 Spocks, and 1 Troi

One of the best episodes of Classic Star Trek.  A whole set of Mirror, Mirror figures would have made this assortment an overwhelming success.  Several 9 inch Kaybee exclusives are planned however.  A six inch Ultra Trek Kirk from Mirror, Mirror was planned, but cancelled for 1998.
