After the first wave of 3" Classic Series Minimates was released Art Asylum planned on releasing a second wave to complete the rest of the classic Crew, and two waves of Next Generation Minimates were on the drawing board. The Classic Wave 2 had prototypes made, but they never saw store shelves and the Star Trek Minimates line was canned in the 3" format. A few years later they would be revived in the 2" Two pack formats.

This was the proposed second wave of 3" Minimates. It was supposed to complete the rest of the Core crew including Uhura, Chekov, Sulu and Scotty, and would also have included Mirror Kirk.
