Mego produced several 3 3/4 inch and 12 1/2 inch action figures based on
the first Star Trek Movie in 1980 and 1981.

Klingon and Arcturian.
According to John Bonavita's "Mego Action Figure Toys", Klingon, Arcturian,
and Rigellian were available from JC Penny. All of the aliens were
made available in Europe. The limited release of only some of the aliens
in the USA make them harder to find. |

Megarite. A recent addition
to my collection, which completes the 3.75 inch ST:TMP line for me.
(A loose figure is better than no figure at all!) |

Capt. Kirk aboard the Mego Star
Trek: The Motion Picture Enterprise Bridge playset.
This plastic playset is much less durable than the Mego Enterprise playset
designed for the 8" figures. It also lacks some of the appeal as both a toy
and collectable item because it looks rather flimsy. |

Capt. Kirk in the 12 1/2 inch
series.
Other figures in this series (not pictured) are Mr. Spock, Ilia, Klingon
Commander, Decker, and Arcturian. I hope to add these figures to my
collection.
The "grey face" effect shown by Capt. Kirk is common in these series.
The figures often do not hold their color as time passes. |

Mego also produced Wrist Communicators, a Vulcan Shuttle, and foriegn releases
of the Enterprise, Klingon Cruiser, and the Vulcan Shuttle.
