Galoob held the rights to produce Star Trek Action Figures when Star Trek: The Next Generation debuted.  Several 3.75 inch figures, Die-Cast U.S.S. Enterprise, Phaser Weapon, and playsets were produced (1988-89).

Captain Jean-Luc Picard

The Enterprise crew figures all include a phaser weapon (molded into hand) and tricorder accessories.

Lt. Commander Data

Several variations of this figure exist.   Apparently Galoob was unable to paint Data correctly.

Data's face will appear blue, brown, flesh color, or speckled.  The "blue face" version is considered the rarest.

Series 2: A set of four aliens from the 1st season of Star Trek: The Next Generation. Except for Ferengi, these action figures do not have accessories.

Die-cast metal Ferengi Fighter Pictured on the back of the Shuttlecraft Galileo packaging.  This was never produced, although a prototype exists.
Galoob Phaser Not pictured.

Galoob planned several playsets and other figures like Wesley Crusher and Romulan that were never produced.  Some prototypes exist of these items, and you can view them at http://members.aol.com/WMccullars/City.html.

Galoob also produced several posed figures from Star Trek V, included Kirk, Spock, McCoy, Sybok and the Klingon Klaa.
