After the destruction of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D in a battle with a renegade Klingon Bird-of-Prey at Veridian III, Lt. Commander Worf was reassigned to the Federation-administered Bajoran outpost Deep Space Nine near the wormhold to the Gamma Quadrant. His purpose there - to serve as Strategic Operations Officer and advise on Federation/Klingon relations.
Since that assignment, however, fate has conspired to reunite him with his old shipmates. Commanding the U.S.S. Defiant, Worf participated in the defense of Earth when the Borg launched a new attack. After the Defaint was crippled, Word bemaed aboard the newly launched U.S.S. Enterprise-E.
Two years later, Worf returned to the Enterprise-E as a delegate to a joint Federation/Son'a conference. Worf soon joined Captain Jean-Luc Picard in a perilous battle high above the Ba'ku homeworld to determine why a fellow crew member had turned against Starfleet.
