Australian Release - No Collector Card
The first figures released in Australia were released on blister cards that look very similar to U.S. releases, but the bubble has the accessories packaged differently than the U.S. and Canadian versions. The Australian release has the same figure and accessories, but because of licensing restrictions, there was no Skybox Card and no Space Cap (POG). The accessories are packaged far apart from each other for complete visiblity. Many of the cards had stickers added to the front and back which covered the references to the Skybox Card. There were several figures released that did not have these stickers, and the references to the Skybox card still show, even though there is no card included. According to Playmates, this was because of some licensing restrictions that Playmates was unable to put a Skybox collector card inside the 2nd series figures. The backs of the blister cards had already been produced. The stickers were distributed by Playcorp to retailers who ordered to place over the existing backer card. This was so they would not have to pay expense of reproducing new backer cards.
