12" Exclusive Figures
Exclusive to: Star Trek Fan Club, New Force Comics, and KB Toys.
Not as many exclusives in this scale as the 9" Scale, but a good amount seeing the line was only done for 1 year. The Fan Club got the Kirk as a Romulan, and had a high price originally, about 80.00 (the figure was 69.99), however after complaints 69.99 became the price with shipping, and a credit was issued by the Fan Club to all people who ordered before the price change. The Fan Club then about 2 months after release, sent a no frills Certificate of Authenticity to all buyers. The Piece of the Action Set was originally planned as a Target/Starfleet Command Exclusive, but was dropped, and New Force pursued it. Originally it didn't look like it would happen because Playmates had to order more fabric, for they just had enough for the International Version of these figure, but they gave in and ordered more fabric. The Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, caused collectors to jump for joy, but many didn't think they would see production, they almost didn't, for Leonard Nimoy originally disapproved of his likeness, and the figures were dead in the water. However, money talks I guess, and some resculpting occured, and it met Leonards approval, making them the last item to roll of the Playmates Star Trek Assembly Line. As with all 12" Figures, the History of Star Trek, came on the back of the box.
